It’s Time to HUSTLE – How Going to an AC/DC Concert Inspired me to Push Harder!

I’m on my way back from Montreal after an amazing performance by AC/DC. I’m writing this while I’m on the bus, so I’m still on that “post-concert” high. Their performance was outstanding to say the least!

What I wanted to talk about was how the fact that these guys are all in their 60s and are STILL killing it live.

With the amount of money they continue to make, just like many other artists they could’ve chosen to retire long ago. Instead, they keep going, they keep playing.

Their stage presence reminded me a lot of Iron Maiden’s style. Just like AC/DC, they too are in their 60s yet perform like highly-caffeinated 20 year olds.

Looking at these guys perform has made me revaluate the amount of time and energy I’m putting in myself and my side projects. I’m complaining about how there aren’t enough hours to get everything done, that I’m too tired to stay up late, that I have too much to do, yet at the same time I advocate the importance of HUSSLING in your 20s.

Meanwhile, these guys are in their 60s and continue to push themselves hard for 2-3 hours straight, non-stop for hundreds of nights a year.

If a bunch of old dudes can do it, you can too. We’re all cut from the same cloth, their blood and organs are no different from yours.

The next time you complain about how you’re job is too tiring, that you’re too bummed out to go work out or work on anything else, think about how much energy you’ll have 10 years from now, 20 years from now, and 30 years from now, and how much harder it’ll be later on.

You have no excuses. Now is the time to HUSSLE.

You can follow me @Marwanalshafei where I spark rainbows within people’s subconscious and make the world go round n’ round.
